De Pere Dodgers 3 – 0 Kenosha Kings, De Pere Dodgers 10 -1 Kenosha Kings

Matt Willems didn’t allow a single run as The De Pere Dodgers defeated The Kenosha Kings 3-0 in the first game Sunday. Willems allowed just six hits. The pitching was strong on both sides. Willems struck out three, while Jason Bunton sat down four.

De Pere got on the board in the first inning when Luke Gajewski singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Willems pitched De Pere to victory. He allowed six hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out three.

Matt Bald was bad news for opposing pitchers in the second game Sunday, driving in four on three hits to lead De Pere past Kenosha 10-1. Bald drove in runs on a single in the second and a double in the fifth.

An early lead helped propel De Pere to victory. De Pere scored on an error, a walk by Griffin Summers, a single by Bald, a single by Jake Thyes, and an error in the second inning. Matt Freeman earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for De Pere. He surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out four.
