Lombard sweeps De Pere
Lombard Orioles 13 – 0 De Pere Dodgers, Lombard Orioles 12 – 2 De Pere Dodgers
The Lombard Orioles defeated The De Pere Dodgers 13-0 in the first game Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Austin Waegle induced a groundout from Jake Thyes to finish off the game.
Ryan-Lin Peistrup led Lombard to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Peistrup drove in runs on a home run in the first, a single in the first, and a single in the fourth.
Lombard got things started in the first inning when Peistrup homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Kevin Napoleon earned the win for Lombard. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out seven. Waegle threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Lombard cruised to an easy victory over De Pere Dodgers 12-2 in the second game Saturday. Lombard notched six runs in the fifth inning. Lombard put the pressure on, lead by singles by Keith Kerrigan and Ryan-Lin Peistrup, a sac fly by Kevin Mampe, a home run by John Carmody, and a double by Dylan Gilbert.
Charlie Klemm led the Lombard to victory on the hill. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking one. Kevin Lane threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

-Kenosha Kings defeated The Burlington Barons Sunday 4 – 3, and 6 – 0 in a double header
-The Lombard Orioles vs De Pere Dodgers was also postponed due to rain Sunday
