Unfortunate night for Sheboygan leads to big win for West Allis

West Allis Nationals 15 – 3 Sheboygan A’s

The Sheboygan A’s watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-3 loss to The West Allis Nationals on Thursday. West Allis took the lead on a groundout in the first inning. The A’s struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing West Allis, giving up 15 runs. In the first inning, West Allis got their offense started when Robert Coe grounded out, scoring one run. West Allis scored five runs in the fifth inning. West Allis’s big inning was driven by a triple by Alex Elliott, a home run by Max Montgomery, and a double by Aaron Goecks. Zach Miller was the winning pitcher for West Allis. He went five innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Austin Zachary and Antonio Valadez entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
