Kenosha get the sweep Sunday over Sheboygan
Kenosha Kings 3 – 2 Sheboygan A’s, Kenosha King’s 7 – 5 Sheboygan A’s
The Kenosha Kings ran off with the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over The Sheboygan A’s in the first game Sunday. The game was tied at two with Kenosha batting in the bottom of the sixth when JT Schneider singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Bunton was the winning pitcher for Kenosha. He surrendered two runs on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
Kenosha stole the lead late and defeated Sheboygan 7-5 in the second game Sunday. The game was tied at five with Kenosha batting in the bottom of the sixth when Noah Jensen’s sac fly scored one run for Kenosha.
After Sheboygan scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Kenosha answered with two of their own. Sheboygan scored when Logan Vietmeier grounded out, scoring one run and Ben Folger drew a walk, scoring one run. Kenosha then answered when Jensen homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Tyler Moilanen was the winning pitcher for Kenosha. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out two. Travis Vanderwall threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Vanderwall recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Kenosha.
