The Wisconsin State Baseball League has announced its 2020 season schedule.

The 2020 campaign will once again feature a 30-game regular season schedule, with the official league champion being crowned based on the best regular season record (sorted by winning percentage).

All seven teams from 2019 return in the new year, including the Addison Braves, Burlington Barons, Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons (formerly known as the De Pere Dodgers), Kenosha Kings, Lombard Orioles, Sheboygan A’s and West Allis Nationals.

The season officially gets underway on Sunday, May 24 when the Kenosha Kings travel to Beaumont Field in Burlington for a doubleheader with the Barons.

The defending league-champion Lombard Orioles start their title defense on Saturday, May 30 in Burlington with a doubleheader.

Greater Green Bay is the last to open up regular-season play, not starting until June 6.

The “Challenge” weekend again returns to Sheboygan June 13-14. The “Challenge” is a weekend where all WSL teams travel to Sheboygan for regular-season contests in one location (to help reduce travel for teams). Games will be played at the A’s stadium, Wildwood Park, at at the nearby Field of Dreams.

The regular season concludes Monday, August 3, with a match-up between Lombard and Addison.

The WSL bracket of the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament will take place August 4-7. The bracket will feature the top four Wisconsin-based teams out of the Wisconsin State League, in a single-elimination step-ladder playoff. The #3 seed will host the #4 seed on Aug. 4. That game’s winner will play at the #2 seed Aug. 5, and the winner of that game plays at the #1 seed on Aug. 6. The winner will advance to the final four of the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament, being hosted by the WSL’s Sheboygan A’s at Wildwood Park. The A’s will receive an automatic berth into the final four.
