The Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons and Kenosha Kings continued their weekend with another battle against one another. Unlike Saturday’s games, where Green Bay was swept by Kenosha, Sunday’s doubleheader was split with final scores of 9-3 and 9-8. The Blue Ribbons took the first game scoring four runs in the first and sixth inning, and two errors made by Kenosha in the first inning assisted Green Bay in putting up these runs. Eli Kramer hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, followed up by hits from Eric Modaff and Luke Gajewski that gave Green Bay nine total runs, which were also their final runs. In game two Green Bay racked up 13 hits to Kenosha’s nine but still fell just one run short taking a 9-8 loss. The Blue Ribbons had the lead for the majority of the game until the sixth inning when Kenosha scored three runs and took a late lead. Daniel Hahn and Jesse Gregory both had hits in the inning otherwise a combination of walks and getting hit by pitches gave the Kings their lead and victory.
