Sheboygan A’s 13, West Allis Nationals 2

A 13-2 win over the West Allis Nationals on Friday night gave the Sheboygan A’s their ninth straight Wisconsin State League win. The second and eighth innings were big offensive innings for Sheboygan, scoring six and five runs respectively. Colin Butkiewicz got things started in the second inning with an RBI single that scored Sheboygan’s first run. Of the 17 hits Sheboygan collected, multiple came from Mark Wanner, TD Walker, Harry Steldt, Josh Moses, Ross Krist, and Butkiewicz. The Nationals’ only two runs came late in the game and were off of sacrifice fly balls from Jonah Meidl and Luke Blaha. Between both teams who are neck and neck in the league’s standings, it was West Allis’ lack of containing Sheboygan’s offense last night that gave the A’s another victory.
