Barons Beat Nationals 7-3 to Close Out the Season

The Burlington Barons defeated the West Allis Nationals 7-3 to wrap up the team's WSL season.

The only Wisconsin State League action on Sunday was an afternoon ball game between the Burlington Barons and West Allis Nationals. The Barons came out with a 7-3 victory, and scored five of those runs in the second inning with offensive help from Ben LaRonge, Brandon Watkins, Logan Pye, and Zach Campbell. West Allis went scoreless until the fifth inning when Charlie Bourbon hit a 2-run homer to center field. Kyle Kalkopf and Wilson Belknapp had two hits to lead the Nationals, and although they out-hit Burlington eight to seven, West Allis was unable to tally more than three runs on the scoreboard.
