Kings, Blue Ribbons Pickup Tuesday Victories

A pair of high-scoring matchups highlighted the WSL schedule Tuesday night.

Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons 12, Sheboygan A’s 11

A wild game broke out Tuesday night at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay. After a scoreless tie through four innings, the Blue Ribbons score one in the fifth and seven in the sixth to take an 8-0 lead. The A’s would then answer back scoring three in the seventh and seven in the top of the ninth to claim a 10-8 led. The Blue Ribbons would then push across two in the bottom half to send the game to extras. After a scoreless tenth, the A’s would take the lead again in the top of the eleventh. Not to be outdone, the Blue Ribbons would respond with two in the bottom half to take the victory.

Kenosha Kings 8, Burlington Barons 6

Burlington stayed in it until the end, but Kenosha pulled away late in an 8-6 victory on Tuesday. Kenosha was down 4-3 in the top of the sixth inning when an error scored two runs pushing them ahead for good. Burlington collected seven hits and Kenosha had 13 in the high-scoring affair. Garret Arnold earned the win for Kenosha, allowing five hits and four runs over five and a third innings, striking out five. Alex Goodman and Justin Binz put in work in relief out of the bullpen. Jarrett Ramer took the loss for Burlington. The righty surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out seven.
