West Allis Nationals 7, Sheboygan A’s 2

Locked in a 0-0 ballgame, Aaron Goecks hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to break the tie in an eventual 7-2 Nationals win over the A’s. The Nationals would add four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to seal the game, with another run in the top of the ninth for good measure. Jon Keane started on the mound for the Nationals, going the first five innings before Andrew Jack, Antonio Valadez and DJ Hess came on in relief to close out the game. A’s starter Brad Rindfleisch was wildly effective, striking out 10 but walking five in his six innings of work, throwing 125 pitches in that time. The Goecks’ home run was the only scoring off of Rindfleisch.
