The Lombard Orioles all but wrapped up the regular-season title after sweeping the second place West Allis Nationals Saturday by scores of 3-1 and 1-0. The wins over the Nationals coupled with the Orioles Sunday sweep of Kenosha (11-1, 13-5) puts the Orioles 5.5 games ahead. The Orioles have six regular-season games remaining while the Nationals have nine.

The Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons picked up two of a possible three wins Friday and Saturday over the Burlington Barons. The wins brought the Blue Ribbons win percentage up to .333 for the season. The Barons took Friday night’s game 14-4, then the Blue Ribbons bounced back with a Saturday doubleheader sweep, winning by scores of 6-1 and 1-0.

The Sheboygan A’s and Addison Braves played a four-game weekend set in Addison, with two of the games going to extras. The two teams split their four-game series, each going 1-1 Saturday and Sunday.
