Late Lead Slips Away From Kings as Orioles Win 6-5

The Kenosha Kings had a 5-2 lead going into the sixth before the Orioles scored four and shut the door the rest of the way in a 6-5 victory over the Kings.

The Kenosha Kings had a 5-2 lead going into the sixth before the Orioles scored four and shut the door the rest of the way in a 6-5 victory over the Kings. Drew Knecht did all he could for Kenosha in trying to hand the league champion’s just their fourth loss of the season. He was 3-4 against the potent Orioles pitching staff, with three of the five runs batted in for Kenosha. Six pitchers were used in the game between the two clubs, with Lombard’s Jake Kmieck getting the win after going two innings, allowing two hits. Lucas Mazanet was credited with the loss for Kenosha, allowing all six runs (five earned).
