Nationals Advance to State Tournament with 8-0 Win Over Kenosha

The West Allis Nationals punched their ticket to the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament Thursday night with an 8-0 victory over the Kenosha Kings.

The West Allis Nationals punched their ticket to the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament Thursday night with an 8-0 victory over the Kenosha Kings. The Nationals received a superb pitching performance from their staff, limiting the Kings to just one hit in the must-win matchup. The Nationals jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after the first and increased it to 3-0 after the second. They sealed the game away in the sixth with a four-run inning to push the game to 8-0. Nine different batters collected hits for the Nationals, while Daniel Hahn was the only King’s batter to reach base via a base-hit. The Nationals will now compete with WSL-rival Sheboygan, along with the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League’s Appleton Legends and Menasha Macs in a double-elimination tournament in Sheboygan for the Class A State Championship.
