Barons, Braves Post Tuesday Wins

The Burlington Barons and Addison Braves posted victories Tuesday night in Wisconsin State League action.

Burlington Barons 5, West Allis Nationals 4

The Burlington Barons tied things up in the bottom of the ninth, then walked it off on a solo home run in the bottom of the 10th to win 5-4 over the West Allis Nationals in a matchup of the #2 and #3 teams in the Wisconsin State League. Ben Siekierski took the first pitch he saw in the extra frame to deep center to give the Barons the win. It was the only extra-base hit of the game for the Barons who had eight hits total in the game, to go with three walks. Siekierski added two singles to go 3-5 in the game.

Addison Braves 10, Kenosha Kings 1

The Braves jumped out early and scored often in a 10-1 victory over Kenosha Tuesday. Nine different Braves joined the hit parade as the Braves posted 11 hits while limiting the Kings to just four. Blane Bradford and Kyle Campbell each had multi-hit efforts for the Braves who improved to 8-6 in the Wisconsin State League standings and currently sit in fourth just under the halfway mark of their season. Max Hansman pitched five innings, striking out 11 to pick up the win.
