The West Allis Nationals opened up WSL play with a doubleheader sweep of Addison.

West Allis Nationals 10, Addison Braves 7

Trailing 5-3 entering the seventh, the Nationals scored seven run’s after one out to jump ahead and win their season opening matchup. Brian Huntzinger collected six RBI for the Nationals, including a grand slam in the seventh. David Garza tried to start the rally for the Braves in the bottom half of the seventh with a solo shot, but it wasn’t enough.

West Allis Nationals 14, Addison Braves 3

Game two was a different story for the two teams, as the Nationals quickly took a 5-0 lead in what would eventually be a 14-3 victory. Aaron Goecks homered, and Brain Huntzinger had two doubles in the win. Jack Ryan pitched the complete game in the run-rule victory, scattering five hits and striking out seven.
