The Heavy Hitters join as an associate member for the 2024 season.
The Wisconsin State League is pleased to announce the addition of the Milwaukee Heavy Hitters to the Wisconsin State League, beginning with the 2024 season.
The Heavy Hitters were approved as an Associate Member for the 2024 season, meaning they will play a partial season schedule before moving to a full-time member in 2025. The Heavy Hitters were approved during the league’s offseason meetings.
The Heavy Hitters General Manager is Marcos Ramos, and the Field Manager is Alonso Uribe.
Uribe said he is proud of the team’s achievement of joining the Wisconsin State League, as it had been a goal of his for many years. The Heavy Hitters, formerly known as the Milwaukee Aztec Jaguars, are operated through the Heavy Hitters Baseball Academy in Milwaukee.
In addition to the Heavy Hitters, the league has announced the Burlington Barons are on a leave of absence for the 2024 season.
With the loss of Burlington, and Milwaukee playing a partial schedule, the Wisconsin State League’s regular season will now be a 27-game season, with each team playing all full-time league members five times, and Milwaukee twice.
