WSL Announces 2024 Season Schedule

The 2024 schedule has been announced by the Wisconsin State Baseball League, which will be operating for the 55th season this summer.

With the Burlington Barons taking a leave of absence this season, and with the addition of the Milwaukee Heavy Hitters as an associate member, the league schedule will reduce from a 30-game regular season to a 27-game regular season.

The Addison Braves, Green Bay Blue Ribbons, Kenosha Kings, Lombard Orioles, Sheboygan A’s, and West Allis Nationals will each play five games against one another, resulting in 25 games. In addition, Milwaukee will play two games against each team, on the road, resulting in a final total of 27 games for Addison, Green Bay, Kenosha, Lombard, Sheboygan, and West Allis. Milwaukee, playing a partial schedule, will play 12 league games.

The 2024 regular-season champion will be crowned based on the best regular-season winning percentage, excluding Milwaukee who will not be eligible.

The regular season gets underway on Thursday, May 30 with Milwaukee will play their first league game against the newly-crowned league-champions, the West Allis Nationals.

The “Challenge” weekend again returns to Sheboygan June 8-9. The “Challenge” is a weekend where all WSL teams travel to Sheboygan for regular-season contests in one location (to help reduce travel for teams). Games will be played at the A’s stadium, Wildwood Park, and at the nearby Field of Dreams.

The regular season concludes Monday, July 29, with a match-up between Lombard and Addison.

The WSL bracket of the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament will take place July 30 through August 1. The bracket will feature Kenosha, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, and West Allis as Green Bay will play in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League qualifier due to travel proximity, and Addison and Lombard are not eligible for the tournament.

Milwaukee will play as the #4 seed, with seeds 1-3 being determined by the regular season standings. The #3 seed will host Milwaukee on July 30. The winner of that matchup will travel to the home of the #2 seed on July 31. July 31’s winner will play at the #1 seed on August 1, with the winner advancing to the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament, which will be held in Burlington August 3-4.
