The West Allis Nationals moved to 3-0 in the Wisconsin State League after a Saturday sweep of Addison.

West Allis Nationals (2), Addison Braves (1)
In a tightly contested pitcher’s duel, the West Allis Nationals edged the Addison Braves 2-1 on Saturday in game one. West Allis struck early with a run in the first inning on an Ashton Kampa single and added what proved to be the winning run in the third with a Brian Huntzinger RBI double. Addison cut the deficit in half late, but strong pitching from Bobby Barrera and a clean defensive effort helped the Nationals hold on. Daniel Gross turned in five solid innings for Addison, while Kyle Schwartz drove in the Braves’ lone run. Both teams played error-free baseball, with Addison turning three double plays and West Allis collecting nine hits in the win.

The Nationals rallied late to secure a 4-2 win over the Braves in game two. Tied at two in the sixth, Tyrese Mitchell delivered the decisive blow with a two-run homer to left, capping a three-hit performance. Max Montgomery had previously put West Allis on the board with an RBI single in the third. Addison answered with a run in the fourth and tied it in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Joe Stagowski. Brayden Bidwell gave the Braves four solid innings, while Branden Bille and the Nationals bullpen held Addison to just four hits. Mitchell’s bat and a disciplined approach at the plate—six walks—pushed West Allis to the win.
