Addison built an early lead and then held off a late surge by the Lombard Orioles to escape with an 8-7 win. Joe Stagowski and JD Swarbrick each drove in three runs to pace Addison’s offense, including a two-run homer by Stagowski in the first. After falling behind in the sixth, Addison responded with a three-run frame that proved decisive. Lombard tallied 11 hits and nine walks, with Jackson Bissette homering and Pambo Nicoloudes driving in two, but the rally came up just short. Damon Valdez recorded the save, locking down the Braves’ narrow victory.
