Lombard erupted for seven runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 16-1 victory over Addison. The Orioles sent 13 batters to the plate in the opening frame, taking advantage of five walks while collecting RBI hits from Collin Ryder and Johnny Nelson. Nelson’s two-run double and Evan Niernberg’s sacrifice fly highlighted the outburst as Lombard built a 7-0 lead before Addison recorded its third out. The Orioles added three more runs in the second, including two that scored on a fielding error, then pushed the margin to 11-0 in the fifth when Niernberg doubled and Constatine Coines followed with an RBI single. Lombard broke the game completely open with a five-run sixth inning fueled by RBI singles from Jacob Conniver and Jordan Vazquez, three walks, and a hit batter. Addison’s lone run came in the third on Hunter Johnson’s RBI double. Nelson led the Orioles offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored, while Coines scored twice and drove in two runs, and Conniver finished with two hits and two RBIs. Louis Slade earned the start for Lombard and struck out four over three innings, while five Orioles pitchers combined to limit Addison to four hits and 14 strikeouts.
