West Allis scored in each of the first three innings and rode strong pitching to an 8-1 victory over Addison. The Nationals wasted little time, taking advantage of an error and RBI single by Max Montgomery to score twice in the first inning. West Allis added three more runs in the second as Dalton Madsen doubled and scored, Brian Huntzinger drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Montgomery capped the inning with a two-run homer. Trey Kerkhoff extended the lead to 6-0 with a solo home run in the third, and the Nationals added insurance runs on a sacrifice fly by Madsen in the third and a groundout by Jonah Meidl in the fifth. Montgomery finished 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored, while Kerkhoff added a homer and two runs scored. Madsen reached base three times, doubled, scored twice, and drove in a run. Addison’s lone run came in the fifth when Brady Klepfer singled home Connor Peckham. Vince Gohlke, Rhett Emons, and Evan Senobe combined to limit the Braves to four hits while striking out seven in the win.
