Lombard pulled away with seven runs in the eighth inning to cap a 15-2 victory over Addison on Tuesday. The Orioles grabbed control early with a four-run second inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Jordan Vazquez and Jackson Spring, before adding four more runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 8-1. Addison scored its first run on a sacrifice fly by Borkowski in the fourth and added another in the sixth when Hunter Johnson scored on a wild pitch, but could get no closer. Lombard put the game away with a seven-run eighth, sparked by Ryan Colucci’s two-run homer and followed by RBI hits from Frank Costabile, Hudson Williams, and Jacob Conniver. Colucci finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs, Conniver went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Costabile doubled, singled, and drove in two runs. Caleb Thomson earned the win with two innings of relief as Lombard pitchers combined to strike out 14 while limiting Addison to two hits.
