Lombard Rallies Late, Walks Off Kenosha in 10 Innings

Lombard erased a three-run deficit in the ninth inning before Frank Costabile delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to give the Orioles an 11-10 Wisconsin State League victory over Kenosha. The Orioles led 6-1 after a five-run fifth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Alex Chaltin, Joe Mrowiez and Justin Canvin, before Kenosha scored eight unanswered runs to take a 9-6 lead in the seventh and added another run in the ninth. Lombard answered with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, getting an RBI sacrifice fly from Chaltin and a game-tying RBI single from Mrowiez. In the 10th, Tom McDermott scored the winning run after entering as a pinch runner, with Costabile lining the game-winning hit to center. Costabile finished with two hits and two RBIs, while Mrowiez and Canvin each collected three hits and drove in two runs. Trey Starr paced Kenosha with a double, triple and three RBIs, while Jack Ryan added three hits and AJ Orrico scored twice. Costabile also retired the side in order with three strikeouts in the top of the 10th before delivering the walk-off hit. Both teams are now 9-7 in Wisconsin State League play.
