The Sheboygan A’s struggled to get their offense going on Wednesday, getting dispatched by the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons 9-3.
The A’s opened up an early lead in the second inning when Nathan Ebersole was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Greater Green Bay took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. Eric Modoff doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs, Yuta Kudoh singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Noah Imrie threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Greater Green Bay.
Mitchell Bendickson earned the win for the Blue Ribbons. He surrendered one run on four hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
Ty Peccioli took the loss for Sheboygan, as he went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out eight.
Zach Watzka started the game for Greater Green Bay, going three and a third innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out two.
Jacob Neese went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the A’s in hits. Greater Green Bay tallied 14 hits on the day. Modoff, Kudoh, and Lane Sobieski each managed multiple hits.
