The decision wasn’t made lightly, but it was made with guarded optimism. Even with the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to dominate daily news, the Burlington Barons have elected to play baseball this season.

The Wisconsin State League has announced its decision to delay its 2020 Opening Day from May 24 to a future date. The new opening date will be subject to decisions by national, state and local governments, and subject to health and medical recommendations and group gathering guidelines.

Former Addison Brave, Dalvin Ramos, was recently honored by the Liga de Béisbol Superior Doble A Puerto Rico, as he was awarded the League’s Gold Glove Award (right field) as well as Rookie of the Year.

Five more players were added to the Wisconsin State Baseball League Hall of Fame and will formally be inducted at the league’s annual Awards Dinner on Saturday night, Jan. 25, in Sheboygan.
