Game Recaps

The Lombard Orioles and Burlington Barons opened up their 2022 WSL season’s with sweeps.

Down in Burlington to face the Barons, the A’s fell by scores of 6-2 in game one, and 4-0 in game two. They now sit at 7-5 overall, 1-3 in the Wisconsin State League with another doubleheader scheduled for today in Burlington, this time against West Allis.

Trailing by four runs after the top of the first, the A’s chipped away and evened the game, only to find themselves down by four once again, but a little late-game magic helped the team grab a 9-8 victory over West Allis Thursday night.

The long awaited 2022 season opener went underway in an offensive battle between the Green Bay Blue Ribbons and the Sheboygan A’s.

The West Allis Nationals, Kenosha Kings, and Addison Braves all picked Memorial Day Weekend victories.

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but the Nationals scored one in the seventh and one in the eighth in a 2-0 victory of the Kings Tuesday night to open up Wisconsin State League play.

The West Allis Nationals punched their ticket to the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament Thursday night with an 8-0 victory over the Kenosha Kings.

The Kenosha Kings advanced to the WSL step-ladder championship after knocking off the Sheboygan A’s 7-1 Wednesday night.
